Born into an Army family in Germany, my early years were steeped in the military lifestyle. This early exposure instilled in me a deep respect for service, which led me to enlist in the United States Navy in 1983. My naval journey began with boot camp in sunny San Diego, California, followed by Radioman A school. Upon completion, I was privileged to serve aboard the USS California (CGN-36), homeported in Alameda, California.

During my time on the USS California, I participated in crucial intelligence-gathering deployments to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatka in 1984 and 1986, monitoring Soviet (USSR) submarine activity in the strategic North Pacific Ocean and Bering Sea. The USS California deployed to the Persian Gulf in 1985 and embarked on a significant world cruise in 1987. Participated in Operation Earnest Will protecting tankers from Iranian attacks. These experiences forged lasting bonds and instilled a profound understanding of the importance of our nation's defense.

Driven by a desire to continue serving and connect with fellow veterans, I proudly joined the Meridian VFW Post 4000 in 2018. Since becoming a member, I have actively volunteered my time and energy to support veterans and their families, as well as educate the wider community about the unique experiences and needs of our veteran population. My involvement with the VFW extends to active participation in the District 5 Honor Guard. I consider it a solemn privilege to participate in numerous events, from providing final honors at funerals to the dignified presentation of colors at various ceremonies and flag raisings.

In recent years, my commitment to direct support has led me to collaborate with organizations such as the Idaho Veteran Network, Help Us Help Vets, and Operation Grateful Hearts. Through these partnerships, I provide crucial "boots on the ground" assistance to veterans and their families facing various challenges. This support ranges from delivering essential household items and assisting with the complexities of moving, to undertaking necessary home repairs and, perhaps most importantly, offering a listening ear and camaraderie to fellow veterans. These volunteer endeavors have profoundly enriched my life, filling a deep-seated desire to give back to the community I hold dear and allowing me to connect with my cherished brothers and sisters in arms.

From "The Great State of Louisiana", I am 3rd generation Air Force. I served active duty 1994-2004 as Security Forces member with 3 tours to the Middle East. After getting out of the Air Force, I continue to serve 6 more yrs as a Civilian Contracted Security.

I am a member of the VFW Post 4000, and dedicate all my time to providing help to veterans in need of a hand up by providing labor to various veteran nonprofit organizations. As a recovering veteran from mental health issue and suicide attempt, volunteering to help my fellow veteran brothers and sisters has helped me therapeutically and a vital goal in my own personal recovery journey.
